چکیده

Using the fermion-spin transformation to implement spin-charge separation of constrained electrons, a model of two t − J chains with interchain single-electron hopping is studied by abelian bosonization. After spin-charge decoupling the charge dynamics can be trivially solved, while the spin dynamics is determined by a strongcoupling fixed point where the correlation functions can be calculated explicitly. This is a generalization of the Luther-Emery line for two-coupled t − J chains. The interchain single-electron hopping changes the asymptotic behavior of the interchain spin-spin correlation functions and the electron Green function, but their exponents are independent of the coupling strength.

Relevance of Interchain Hopping in Correlated Hubbard Chains

We demonstrate that the hopping of singlet electron pairs between Hubbard chains is relevant in the renormalization group sense if appropriate correlations exist between the chains. Typeset using REVTEX

Commensurate - incommensurate transition in two - coupled chains of nearly half - filled electrons

We investigate the physical properties of two coupled chains of electrons, with a nearly half-filled band, as a function of the interchain hopping t ⊥ and the doping. We show that upon doping, the system undergoes a metal-insulator transition well described by a commensurate-incommensurate transition. By using bosonization and renormalization we determine the full phase diagram of the system, a...

Competition of disorder and interchain hopping in a two-chain Hubbard model

We study the interplay of Anderson localization and interaction in a two chain Hubbard ladder allowing for arbitrary ratio of disorder strength to interchain coupling. We obtain three different types of spin gapped localized phases depending on the strength of disorder: a pinned 4kF Charge Density Wave (CDW) for weak disorder, a pinned 2kF CDW π for intermediate disorder and two independently p...

Interplay of Correlation, Randomness and Dimensionality Ef- fects in Weakly-Coupled Half-Filled Random Hubbard Chains

We study interplay of electronic correlation, randomness and dimensionality effects in half-filled random Hubbard chains weakly coupled via an interchain one-particle hopping. Based on the two-loop renormalization-group approach, phase diagrams are given in terms of temperature vs. strengths of the intrachain electron-electron umklapp scattering, the random scattering and the interchain one-par...

Interchain coupling effects on dynamics of photoexcitations in conjugated polymers.

Within an extended Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model including interchain interactions and the extended Hubbard model, the dynamical relaxation of photoexcitations in two coupled conjugated polymer chains is investigated by using a nonadiabatic evolution method. Initially, one of the two chains is photoexcited and the other chain is in the dimerized ground state. Due to the interchain interactions, th...
